Please read these terms carefully before using MotorBoard.
Effective date: 25 April 20261. About MotorBoard
MotorBoard is operated by Motor Board Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company Number 17175063), whose registered office is in England.
MotorBoard is a classifieds advertising platform. We provide an online marketplace where private sellers and trade dealers can advertise vehicles for sale, and buyers can browse and contact sellers directly. MotorBoard is not a vehicle dealer, broker, or agent, and is not a party to any transaction between a buyer and a seller.
By accessing or using the MotorBoard website (motorboard.co.uk), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. User Accounts
To list a vehicle on MotorBoard, you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering.
- Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with any third party.
- Take full responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us immediately at info@motorboard.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
MotorBoard reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account at its sole discretion, including where we reasonably believe the account is being used fraudulently, in breach of these terms, or in a manner that may harm other users or the platform.
3. Listing Rules
When you create a listing on MotorBoard, you warrant that:
- You are the registered keeper or owner of the vehicle, or are authorised to sell it on behalf of the owner.
- All information in your listing — including description, mileage, condition, price, and photographs — is accurate and not misleading.
- The vehicle is legally available for sale and is not subject to any outstanding finance, court orders, or other encumbrances you have not disclosed.
- All photographs and videos you upload are of the actual vehicle being advertised.
MotorBoard reserves the right to remove, edit, or decline any listing without notice at our sole discretion, including listings that:
- Contain inaccurate, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Relate to a vehicle that has been reported stolen or is subject to a finance agreement not disclosed to buyers.
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Include prohibited content as described in Section 8.
Removal of a listing does not entitle the seller to a refund of any fees paid.
4. Dealer Subscriptions
Trade dealers must subscribe to one of MotorBoard's dealer plans to list vehicles. The following terms apply to all dealer subscriptions:

Minimum term. All dealer subscriptions are subject to a 12-month minimum contract term. After the minimum term has elapsed, the subscription continues on a rolling monthly basis.
Annual prepay. Dealers may elect to pay for a full 12 months upfront and receive one month free (12 months' advertising for the price of 11). The annual prepay amount is non-refundable except in the event of MotorBoard permanently ceasing to operate.
Cancellation. Dealers may cancel their subscription after the 12-month minimum term by contacting us at info@motorboard.co.uk. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. No partial-month refunds are issued.
Price changes. MotorBoard may update subscription pricing with at least 30 days' written notice. Continued use of the platform after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
5. Private Seller Fees
Private individuals (non-trade sellers) pay a one-off listing fee per vehicle. VAT is included in the prices shown:

If you mark your vehicle as sold before the listing expires, the listing will be removed from public search results immediately. No credit or refund is issued for unused listing time.
6. Payments
All payments on MotorBoard are processed securely by Stripe. MotorBoard does not store your full card details. By providing payment information, you authorise us to charge the applicable fee or subscription amount.
All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP). VAT is included in private seller listing fees and added to dealer subscription prices at the prevailing UK rate.
If you believe a charge has been applied in error, contact us at info@motorboard.co.uk within 14 days of the charge date. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days. Chargebacks or disputes raised directly with your bank or card provider without first contacting us may result in account suspension.
7. Content Ownership & Licence
Your content. You retain ownership of all photographs, videos, and written descriptions you upload to MotorBoard. By submitting content to the platform, you grant Motor Board Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content for the purposes of operating and promoting the platform, for as long as the listing remains live.
This licence does not grant MotorBoard the right to sell your content or use it for purposes unrelated to the operation of the platform.
You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all content you submit, and that the content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
8. Prohibited Content
The following are strictly prohibited on MotorBoard:
- Advertising stolen vehicles or vehicles obtained by deception.
- Advertising vehicles with clocked (tampered) mileage without disclosure.
- Advertising vehicles with illegal modifications or non-roadworthy vehicles without clear disclosure.
- Providing deliberately misleading descriptions, prices, or photographs.
- Using MotorBoard to facilitate money laundering, fraud, or any criminal activity.
- Scraping, harvesting, or systematically extracting data from the platform without our prior written consent.
- Impersonating another person, business, or entity.
- Uploading any content that is defamatory, obscene, or otherwise unlawful.
Breach of this section may result in immediate account termination and referral to the relevant authorities.
9. Liability Limitations
MotorBoard is a classifieds advertising platform only. We are not party to any contract of sale between a buyer and a seller, and we make no warranties regarding the accuracy of listings, the condition of any vehicle, or the reliability of any seller or buyer.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- MotorBoard accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or expense arising from transactions concluded through the platform.
- We do not verify vehicle history, inspect vehicles, or confirm the identity of sellers or buyers.
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from use of the platform.
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these terms shall not exceed the fees you paid to MotorBoard in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits MotorBoard's liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute about the purchase or condition of a vehicle is a matter between the buyer and the seller. MotorBoard is not an arbiter and is not responsible for resolving such disputes.
If you believe a listing contains fraudulent information, please report it to us at info@motorboard.co.uk. We will investigate and take appropriate action, which may include removing the listing and/or suspending the seller's account.
If you have a billing dispute with MotorBoard, please contact us at info@motorboard.co.uk and we will endeavour to resolve it within 10 business days.
11. Privacy
Your use of MotorBoard is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which sets out how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
12. Modifications to These Terms
MotorBoard may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email and update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
